First Camping Trip Of The Season!

What a beautiful trip to Palouse Falls Washington!  It was a great way to start the camping season off for 2012.  So excited to start in April this year, the earlier in the year the better!
We left on Friday afternoon and caught an incredible sunset!  Not too bad of a shot considering I was in a moving car with a broken camera.

The next day we packed a lunch and took a long hike with the boys.  I was a bit nervous to over stress the knee but with the new brace it went great!
The boys definitely have the rock climbing bug!  Malcom, especially couldn't get enough!  He started out a bit wary but by the end of the day he was tackling twenty foot runs with no gear of any kind!  Kaelon was close behind.

I guess, "like Father like Sons."  :)  I did pretty good myself...Chris came UP the "back" of this one as I came "DOWN" the front, needless to say we missed each other. LOL

But...we met up and climbed this one with the boys and had lunch....

And THIS was our view...not such a bad way to enjoy a meal!

O...and not such a bad place to take nap together either.

The boys continued to pursue their new interest while Chris and I enjoyed the rest.

Hanging out at our camp site.

On the last day we visited the near by fish hatchery.

Since we were the only ones there, we got a little special treatment and were aloud to feed the show fish...that was pretty cool!  Sure wish I could catch a big one like that.

So these are the falls...really beautiful.  They were very full and a bit dirty but still breathtaking.

We packed up on Sunday late afternoon to head home...what a fun learning time for the boys this was, trying out all our gear and figuring out how to be organized...well we will be working on that one for a bit. :)

So on our way home we had to stop at this old homestead and check things out.  Kaelon didn't like this so much but Chris and Malcom were excited to poke around. I really enjoyed the photo opportunity.

Love making memories with all my sweet boys!!!
