I am writing this because I promised myself I would post at least one thing every month... our life has been WAY crazy sense the last time I posted.
In the last month we have experienced some fun things, sad things, lots of love and a whole lot of scary craziness.
We had a wonderful camping trip to Smith Lake for Mother's Day that I have yet to post pictures for.
My Grandpa Carl had a very serious heart surgery that was very suddenly thrust upon all of us, however I was able to connect with my long lost Aunt Lynda & Uncle Bob ( SO great!) because of the circumstances. Grandpa has had several bumps along this road of recovery but is doing a bit better now.
My Uncle Dale has been in and out of multiple hospitals with a life threatening illness. Last I heard he was home but it seems to change SO rapidly that I can't keep up.
It was my honor and privilege to watch my "little" nephew come into the word...what a little miracle it is to see a little life emerge! Garhett Leighton Palmer, 9lbs 15oz. 22inches long. Blessings in the midst of chaos.
My Uncle Glen was air flighted to the hospital after a very tragic hag-gliding accident and needed emergency brain surgery, among other things (I thank God that the Dr.s are saying that he should have a full recovery).
My sister Carissa is going to make me an Aunty once again and her due date is on my 35th birthday! :) WooHoo...no one tell her I am praying for twins ;)
We all surprised my brother Jerry with a 40th birthday party...which Chris and I missed due to a very random, freak "crock potting". Chris and I were setting up and decorating at said event when the cord of our crock pot was caught on one of the chairs in our van...he gave it a bit of a tug when JAB... the prongs on the cord came back with a vengeance and one prong literally filet the cornea in his right eye, the other caught the bottom of the white of his eye and ripped a layer up but not off, it stayed attached at the very top and fell back into place !!! SORT OF Poor man of mine was in excruciating pain but managed to convince me, saying it was "getting a little better" as he sat in the dark with his eyes closed and his right eye flowing, to finish decorating before the trip to the Dr. Needless to say we will be dealing with this "little" incident for the next 6 month (best case scenario). We are praying that the "flap" will re-attach to the eyeball, if not we are in for a VERY uncomfortable, to say the least, surgery and recovery. :( Thankfully no matter the outcome Chris will NOT loose any of his vision long term!!!
Unfortunately our Father's Day backpacking trip to Elk Falls, Idaho had to be canceled...hopefully not for the WHOLE season.
Throw in a wedding, several birthdays and a couple holidays for good measure...
Even though it has been crazy, crazy, crazy around here God still makes His presents known to us... FAITHFULLY !
