Curto Fam Gone Domestic

      This Fall has been all about canning, jamming, and pickling. I have found recipes on line, in books, and used some old family recipes as well. I think Chris likes it even more than I do, so having a canning buddy is fun!
      The boys have even helped a few times :)  It is inspiring me to get serious about a garden next year ... we will see???

      Malcom made us all dinner this night so we wouldn't have to stop canning. He made butternut squash ravioli and garlic bread :) This boy is going to be so much like his dad when it comes to the kitchen!


      This was the fourth kind of Corn Relish attempt ... this one was made with tart green apples.

    Canning is so worth the work! We canned Carrots, potatoes, apples, pears, tomato, and Elk last year (While I was on Bedrest ;) This year grandma wasn't up to it and I didn't want to do it by myself so nothing this year :(. Glad you made it a family event, those boys are such good helpers :)
